What is First Presbyterian Church, Missoula, Montana?

First Presbyterian Church of Missoula is a local congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA). It has served the people of Missoula since l876, when it's first members met in a log cabin at the corner of Higgins and Main. Now with an active membership of around 725 people, our two large brick buildings on South Fifth Street West are nearly filled to capacity with programs and activities.

We are a diverse congregation, encompassing a cross-section of Missoula's people. All are welcome here.

We are open to varying ideas and understandings as we grow in our faith. People are free here to ask questions, explore new ideas and seek answers. We are involved in the life and work of the church. Our pastors and staff guide the members, who carry out the work and much of the leadership of the church. We encourage all members to offer their special talents and experience.

Our congregation consists of approximately 76 members under 25: 96 ages 26-35; 229 ages 36-55; 154 ages 56-64; and 170 65 and older. We have about 120 children and youth in our Sunday School and other programs.
