What do Presbyterians believe?
Welcome !

First Presbyterian Church of Missoula has a solid foundation. Presbyterians were among those who carried out the first great reforms in the Christian Church in the Middle Ages, calling the Christian Church back to its original Apostolic faith and practice. The great Protestant Reformers, John Calvin and John Knox, made sure that our beliefs and organizational principles were rooted in God's Word, the Bible. We have stood the test of time!

Though we have been around for a long time, we have not "mossed over!" We are not trapped in cold, dead tradition. Our faith and fellowship, our worship and work are as lively as that of first century Christians, and as relevant to contemporary life as today's newspaper! There is a warm spirit of openness to each other and a refreshing diversity of personalities, ages, and experiences. What unites us is our sincere desire to know God's Word and His will for our lives as we live in a trust relationship with Jesus Christ and each other.

Members of the church are responsible for our ministries. Our pastors and other staff guide and assist our members and lay leaders as they carry out the work of the church. All members are encouraged to offer and use their talents and experiences both in our community and in the church as together we seek to serve Christ.
